The Phonetic Alphabet for Aviation
The NATO phonetic alphabet is the most widely accepted worldwide. In radio communication, information passed has to be clear and concise to minimize the chance of miscommunication. As a result, aviation adopted the NATO phonetic alphabet as a way to streamline and standardize the way we communicate.
